SmartControl

  • A single system monitors inverters, generator junction boxes and tracking systems
  • Yields can be retrieved via the Internet portal at any time
  • Detailed analysis software for plant management
  • Reduced service outlay thanks to detailed remote diagnosis
  • Automatic error messages by e-mail, SMS and/or fax

Reliable monitoring and analysis system

The SmartControl system from Voltwerk is a reliable monitoring and analysis system for large photovoltaic systems. The automatic monitoring replaces constant checking by persons. Using the SmartControl system allows Voltwerk central inverters to be networked and individually read out. At the same time, the CANopen communication standard guarantees reliable communication and, in doing so, ensures reliable monitoring of all the plant components and trouble-free operation.

The SmartControl system consists of the following components:

  • SmartControl monitoring unit
  • Power supply unit
  • Sensor for irradiation and temperature
  • Internet portal www.voltweb.de
  • ControlCenter software

The SmartControl system can be extended with CAN-bus-enabled Voltwerk components such as, for example, the SmartConnect generator junction box. SmartControl also permits diagnosis and monitoring functions for these components. What is more, the system is future-proof as it is extremely simple to update.

Permanent system monitoring

The SmartControl system periodically transmits the data required for monitoring, such as yields and component status to the Internet portal. Here the data is processed and stored in easy-to-comprehend graphics. In the event of a malfunction, a pre-defined group of people is immediately notified by e-mail, SMS or fax.

Precision remote diagnosis

The ControlCenter permits the real-time scanning of values and operating status relating to all connected components. Consequently, it is possible by remote diagnosis to observe system values down to string level and to read out individual inverters. This helps with fault tracking and significantly reduces the amount of service work required on site.
