If there is a failure or if maintenance work needs to be carried out, the inverter must be disconnected from the PV generator. A DC disconnect is used for this purpose. According to IEC standard 60364-7-712 (in line with VDE 0100 T712), an “accessible load switching device between the PV generator and inverter” is required by law. Voltwerk VSC 25/900 (C) DC disconnects meet and exceed the requirements of this standard and therefore ensure a high level of safety.
They have also been developed in line with market requirements: the high voltage of up to 900 VDC and the total permissible current of 25 A permit universal use of these DC disconnects. They are lightweight and allow for quick and easy installation and the high IP 65 protection type makes it possible to install the unit outside. Naturally, the Voltwerk VSC 25/900 (C) DC disconnect is compatible with all inverters of the Voltwerk VS series.
